“George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iasi is an higher education artistic institution for research and artistic creation that brings together three artistic fields (Visual arts; Music; Theatrical performing arts). The professional and cultural mission of UNAGE is based on a synthesis of local and universal values. UNAGE is a constant observer and actor in the European development process, especially in the fields of education, art, and culture.

UNAGE’s research strategy considers the national and European directions of development and innovation, which have as priority axes: creating new knowledge, emphasizing new skills to highlight new social roles of art, increasing competitiveness and promoting excellence, implementing research results, forming “knowledge alliances” through cooperation and partnerships. The role of UNAGE regarding the scientific research and artistic creation results from its mission and is defined in the context created by the National Strategy for Research, Development, and Innovation for the period 2017-2020, as well as by the general European context, which has a particular dynamic in this period.

UNAGE’s scientific research and artistic creation activity is coordinated by the Council for Scientific Research and Artistic Creation with the support of the Commission specialized within the Senate. Ensures the orientation of the scientific research and artistic creation activity in the university in accordance with the Strategic Plan, national and international research programs, to ensure coherence and functionality in strategic planning and decision-making.
