The Design specialization within the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design organizes, between June 2-7, 2026, the international Blended Intensive Program (BIP) event, held through the Erasmus+ program, with the theme “Transporting Design”.

The academic event brings together students and teaching staff from important European higher education institutions: “Angel Kanchev” University in Ruse (Bulgaria), Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Porto (Portugal) and Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Bonn (Germany), a space in an interdisciplinary framework dedicated to exploring the urban relationship and the modernity of the urban relationship.

Teaching activities and specialized workshops will be coordinated by the special invitation to the edition, Boris Fabris, an internationally recognized personality in the field of automotive design and contemporary visual education. Through his professional and pedagogical expertise, the program proposes to facilitate the exchange of ideas, good practices and perspectives among participants, strengthening the European dimension of artistic education.

The events agenda includes, in addition to the academic activities carried out within the faculties, a series of cultural experiences aimed at familiarizing international guests with the cultural heritage and urban identity of the city of Iași. Participants will take part in a guided tour of the city with the café-tourist tram, visit the Palace of Culture and the Art Museum within the National Museum Complex “Moldova” Iași, the National Theater “Vasile Alecsandri”, the Botanical Garden “Anastasie Fătu”, as well as the Museum of Public Transport Iași.
