Master Teacher: DUMITRU GOIA<\/strong><\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

George Enescu<\/em> National University of Arts from Ia\u0219i and Conducting Teacher Dumitru Goia offer an intensive week-long course in orchestral conducting. Limited to maximum 11 active participants, the masterclass guarantees each participant 60 minutes of orchestra podium exposure, including public performance, in addition to 60 minutes of conducting practicum with piano duo and extensive score study. The course provides a great opportunity to not only work with an orchestra and teacher, but also to produce professional-quality videos, in rehearsal and concert. The program will be able to accommodate aspiring and practicing conductors at all stages of experience.<\/p>\n

LOCATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The medieval city of Ia\u0219i is a major cultural center of Romania. Situated 400 km north-east of Bucharest, the city is the fourth most populous city in Romania, a central transportation hub, and a popular tourist destination in Europe.<\/p>\n

    Participants will have the opportunity to rehearse any part of the program. Maestro Dumitru Goia will make final assignments for the performance.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    SCHEDULE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 25th<\/sup> of June, 2023 – Arrival in Ia\u0219i, Romania;<\/li>\n
    • 26th<\/sup>, 27th<\/sup>, 28th of June, 2023 – Piano Sessions and Score Study: daily 4-hr sessions with piano duo; additional score study and optional technique sessions;<\/li>\n
    • 29th<\/sup>, 30th<\/sup> of June, 1st<\/sup> of July, 2023- Orchestra Sessions: daily 4-hr sessions with orchestra;<\/li>\n
    • 2nd<\/sup> of July, 2023 – Dress Rehearsal and Concert: All participants will receive video and audio recordings (raw or edited) from front and back, as well as a large publicity poster.<\/li>\n
    • 3rd<\/sup> of July, 2023 – Departure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      COST:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The cost includes all tuition and professional recording fees.<\/p>\n

      All Masterclass participants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation and meals.<\/p>\n
