Arrival in Iasi – Romania<\/strong><\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Buy a Romanian prepaid card for mobile phone, with internet data<\/li>\n
  2. You can arrive in Iasi by airplane (book a direct flight or via Bucharest), by bus or by train.\u00a0After your arrival at Bucharest airport Otopeni, you have the following options:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u2013 book plane tickets to Iasi with TAROM or BLUEAIR flight company (less than one hour flight);<\/p>\n

    \u2013 take a big bus ride to Iasi\u00a0for a 6 hours travel:\u00a0TEISA (https:\/\/www.teisa.ro\/main\/#\/onlineBooking<\/a>), MASSARO (http:\/\/www.massaro.ro\/Tracks<\/a>), Autovip and other\u00a0companies\u00a0(https:\/\/mementobus.com\/orar-MementoBUS\/10300-Henri-Coanda-International-Airport-RO\/10124-Iasi-RO<\/a>),\u00a0\u00a0and BLA BLA CAR (https:\/\/www.blablacar.ro\/ride-sharing\/otopeni\/iasi\/<\/a>). Some bus companies are picking up travelers from Otopeni airport directly;<\/p>\n

    \u2013 stay over the night in Bucharest and take a morning train to Iasi;<\/p>\n

    \u2013 take a train \/ a sleeping car or a bus to Iasi, so you can go straight to \u201cGara de Nord\u201d (la Gare du Nord\/ North Railway station) or the center of Bucharest.<\/p>\n

    The basic idea is to arrive in Bucharest between 8:00 in the morning and 17-18:00 in the evening, in order to catch a bus to the center of Bucharest or to \u201cGara de Nord\u201d (la Gare du Nord\/ North Railway station).<\/p>\n

    For the ride to Bucharest \u2013 Gara de Nord, take a honest taxi driver like UBER \u2013\u00a0https:\/\/www.uber.com\/ro\/en\/ride\/<\/a>\u00a0or \u201cMERIDIAN\u201d-http:\/\/www.meridiantaxi.ro\/<\/a>,\u00a0or \u201cMONDIAL\u201d \u2013http:\/\/taximondial.ro\/index-en.php<\/a>\u00a0or the one recommended by the airport.\u00a0The private taxi drivers ask too much money :-).<\/p>\n

    A bus ride to Gara de Nord: about 20 \u2013 30 minutes; cost: about 10-15 Euros paid in ROL= lei \u2013 you can exchange currency in the airport.\u00a0Routes as well as any bus in Bucharest information can be found at STB -Transport Society Bucuresti\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/www.stbsa.ro\/eng\/index<\/a>\u00a0(bus 780).<\/p>\n

    Take a first class train ticket (it\u2019s really cheap for you, approx. 20 euros) in a high class train (IRN, IR, IC).<\/p>\n

    You can also travel by sleeping car (23:30). The ride takes about 6 hours 18 min. (arrive in Iasi in the morning).<\/p>\n

    Abbreviations: IC = interCity, IRN =\u00a0InterRegioNight, IR = interRegio (rapid and accelerate trains) R = regio (regional train).<\/p>\n

    Do not take R = personal, it\u2019s low class, slow and not comfortable.
    \nTrains timetable can be found on the website\u00a0<\/strong>    https:\/\/www1.cfrcalatori.ro\/en\/<\/a><\/strong>. There is also a train taking you from Bucharest airport Otopeni to the North Railway station of Bucharest, the place from where you can take the train to Iasi.<\/p>\n

      Accomodation<\/strong><\/h5>\n

      There are couple possibilities:<\/p>\n

At your arrival, if the accommodation is not already arranged, you will stay a few days in our students hostel dormitory C1 (2 students in the room) \u2013 in Bularga neighborhood, within High school Anghel Saligny, on\u00a0strada Bucium no. 17<\/a>, tel. 0040 332 101005, mobile 0040 743 917 227 \u2013 Mrs. administrator Ana ENACHE , or maybe you would prefer to stay with some Romanian students in their apartment, and during that time we will help you find an apartment to suit your wishes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        We do NOT offer SINGLE rooms in our student campus.\u00a0In the student campus, the room will be shared with another international student of the same gender.<\/p>\n

        1. We can support you to find a private apartment together with other Erasmus Plus\/ Erasmus-Mundus students (price: 150-200 Euros\/ month\/ person + expenses e.g. heat, electric power, gas \u2013 around 30 Euros in the winter; it\u2019s better to take large apartments with 2-4 rooms for 2-4 students). An extra fee may apply in the beginning (renters charge the amount of one month rent).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Visa and residence permit for Iasi \u2013 Romania<\/strong><\/h5>\n

          1. For a short stay 90 days within 180 days, UE citizens\u00a0do not need visa<\/em><\/strong>. (UE countries, Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine are among of the countries the nationals of which are exempted to obtain a short-stay visa in order to travel to Romania, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation EU 1806\/2018). Also, for period under 90 days, their citizens do not need residence permit.<\/li>\n
          2. If the duration of your Erasmus+ mobility is longer than 3 months, a residence permit is needed. The Eramus+ \/ foreign students should present themselves at the IA\u015eI County Immigration Service<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
