The Faculty of Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Design has the mission of training specialists - artists and art theorists, who can contribute in a creative manner to the contemporary cultural life and to the circulation of the values of Romanian and universal art. The fact that the graduates also study the package of education science subjects offers them the opportunity to work as teachers in secondary schools and high-schools.

 Specialisations:

  • FINE ARTS (study domains: PAINTING, SCULPTURE, GRAPHIC ART)
  • DECORATIVE ARTS (study domains: TEXTILE ARTS, MURAL ART)
  • DESIGN
  • FINE ARTS AND DECORATIVE ARTS EDUCATION
  • CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION
  • HISTORY AND THEORY OF ARTS

Features:

  • length of studies 3 years (6 semesters)
  • finalisation through a license exam, which grants the legal right to work as an educator in professional artistic and education institutions

Starting with the academic year 2001-2002, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Design also offers the opportunity of studies for a Master's Degree in Visual Arts, with the specialisations Fine Arts and Decorative Arts, which have as objective the strengthening of the graduate's specialisation, involvement in research activities, laying the foundations for doctoral studies, obtaining complementary skills.

Starting with the academic year 2005-2006, the length of studies is of three years for license studies and two years for Master's degree studies (according to HG no. 896/2004 and HG 88/2005).
